30 Day No Sugar Diet - Was it Worth it?

2 months on - It was totally worth it. It helped me re-calibrate many of my unhealthy eating habits and understand the harmful effects of sugar better. Did I lose any weight?  A little but not enough to do this just to lose weight. Then why do it?  Primarily because sugar has zero beneficial health effects except on your taste buds and can be pretty addictive. It increases the risk of obesity, diabetes and heart disease. I figured this stuff out to stay motivated on my 30 day journey. Have I quit sugar completely?   Definitely not but my benchmarks have been recalibrated like crazy.  Here are the Top 5 changes: Sugar was regular with my tea coffee everyday - now even once in a week is a big treat.  I used to eat dessert 2-3 times a week in moderate quantities, now it is down to 2-3 times a month.  Plus we have stopped buying products with added sugar like bread, biscuits etc as part of our weekly groceries.
